(installation view) ‘Tupungato’, double slide projectors, slide film, color filter acetate, frosted plexiglass. Dimensions variable.
Each projector cycles through mirroring images of the Tupungato mountain peak, one of the highest peaks of the Andes and the point where my great uncle flew across from Chile. Half of the slides are filtered with color film acetate, so a clear view of the mountain can only be seen in ones own shadow or in that of an onlooker. Collaboration with Carlos Vela Prado
Via Ascensión (The Western Telegraph), aged paper and ink in plexiglass frame. 10 x 12”
Fictional replica of the telegraph sent by Cortínez to the Chilean air force upon his arrival in Argentina after successfully crossing the Andes. Collaboration with Carlos Vela Prado
detail of Via Ascensión (The Western Telegraph)
