Veils of Myth, 2 person exhibition with Cindy Hill curated by Sam Branden, Christine Rebhuhn, & Raphaelle Cormier at Wick Gallery, Brooklyn, NY. October 12th - November 10th 2019.

This project is comprised of a series of architectural interventions made throughout NYC. The works are made with paper cast onto keystone figures of historic building facades, these were made on East 9th street in the Lower East Side. While making the works, the paper was left onsite for a duration to be encountered by any passersby who looks upwards. Before removing the works I rub the figures with graphite, drawing into the crevices and confusing the materiality of the paper into what looks like stone. When removed, the paper holds its dimensional form and is exhibited as a sculptural work. Viewers can peer out from the cracks within the figures’ faces and see the buildings’ dust and residue embedded into the paper.
